Welcome...

Welcome to the new blog!  I like this one so much better.  It feels like home.  Bits and pieces of our life that we share with you and each other.  Odds and ends as we tackle the next thing.  We wanted a blog that really spoke to who we are and what we are about.  The Finding Amelia blog did, but felt more like an adoption blog.  I had difficulty writing in it, because there were so many other things to say that didn't quite fit.  And, the story changed...that beautiful explanation in the next post!

We operate in a small creed at our house:  Keep everything in the Light.  Ask Jesus everything.  Do what is in front of you.  (Hopefully, as unto the Lord but, let's face it, sometimes it is just getting it done!)

Life can be overwhelming, like a thousand piece jigsaw puzzle at times.  If you look at all the pieces in a pile, the task is daunting.  If you work on what is in front of you, piecing together two at a time, before you know it, there is a lovely picture built from smaller ones.  We take joy in much, feel called to much, and operate in the truth that we are but passing through.  All of the pieces don't overwhelm when we stand here, resting in the chaos, one step at a time.  Definitely how we accomplished this past year of the adoption process.  How we accomplish raising children.  How we do life.  Basically, how we function and keep the peace!   The pieces somehow come together and we smile and nod and are thankful....
